How to register for Health and Safety

This registration process applies to Health and Safety (for becoming a FCC/GFCC) and Health and Safety (for Center, School-age, & LE Directors)

  1. View our event page and find the class you wish to register for. Complete the registration for your selected session, including payment, then proceed to step 2.

  2. You must also register for the class you selected in step 1 on the Professional Development Program (PDP) portal

    1. Please follow this link https://www.ecetp.pdp.albany.edu/mytraining/guest/login.aspx to create an ECETP account (Early Childhood Education and Training Program). Once you have created your account follow the steps below to apply for Health and Safety Training. Applying for the training through this account is necessary and will be the only way you receive your certificate at the completion of the training. 

      • Step 1: Click on the option Apply for Health & Safety or MAT Training

      • Step 2: Under the By Region option select Albany

      • Step 3: Scroll down and find the training with one of our Health and Safety trainers; when you have found the training click on the training title

      • Step 4: A box will appear with the training details; Select Apply for this training

HEALTH AND SAFETY: COMPETENCIES FOR BECOMING A FAMILY CHILD CARE/GROUP FAMILY CHILD CARE PROVIDER

Learn the steps to starting a program in your home, including assistance in completing the application and support in navigating the process during this 3-day training. You’ll increase your knowledge of the NYS OCFS regulations regarding safe child care environments, supervision, nutrition and food safety, mandatory reporting, and health care plans.

Prerequisite: Attend or view online: Child Day Care Orientation to receive the NYS Application to Become a Family Child Care Provider.  View our event page for sessions
