In order to receive an application to start a child care program, you need to take the Child Day Care Orientation provided by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) or the Family Child Care Orientation and Information Session with us. The orientation outlines the requirements for opening a child care program, highlighting the child care regulations, space requirements, information about proper ratios and staffing, and resources for support. This orientation also introduces you to the important rules and regulations you need to know in order to run your business.
