CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE (CDA) PREPARATORY COURSE

CDA is a nationally recognized credential awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, DC for professionals working in the early childhood field. It is the most recognized credential in early childhood education as a stepping-stone on the path of career advancement. 

This 40-week course will help you prepare for obtaining your CDA, signifying readiness for leadership, dedication, and professionalism. This preparatory course provides the 120 classroom hours necessary to apply for the credential and individual advisement from a qualified mentor.

*The CDA Preparatory Course is open to child care providers currently employed in a licensed/registered child care center or group/family program.


CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEU) FOR CDA RENEWAL

Most Brightside Up workshops award continuing Education Units (CEU) that qualify toward the renewal of the Child Development Associate. CEU's hours are listed in the training descriptions for every workshop we offer. CEU's may also be earned by taking college courses.
