Families can also check on the history of a child care program to help assess the safety and quality of a potential placement.

To check the complaint history of a program, visit the NYS Office of Children and Family Services website and scroll down to Inspections and Enforcement or call the Albany Regional Licensing Office at (518) 402-3038.
To check the specific complaint history of all registered family and school-age programs in Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady Counties, call Brightside Up and ask to speak to a registrar.
